"We have used Liz in the past for renting, but it was her guidance and expertise during our recent apartment purchase that made us feel most confident in partnering with her. Liz is extremely hard working. She always answers emails promptly and makes herself available to hop on the phone to discuss a question, big or small, with patience and understanding. She has her finger on the pulse of the NYC market. She has a true sense of what apartments in the city are worth and how to manage through the various stages of the process. She also has an uncanny ability to connect with anyone. We saw 40 apartments, and 40 different brokers and sellers. She has the ability to connect and obtain the necessary information from all walks of life. Lastly, she is extremely thoughtful. She cares about her clients, and Maria and I felt from the first apartment we saw with her, until we finally closed on the apartment of our dreams (and everything in between)" - Timothy W and Maria B.

"Liz Lawton is the hardest working and most thoughtful person we’ve ever met in our collective 20 years of NYC real estate experience. She has found us affordable, unicorn-quality rentals in Brooklyn and Manhattan, and moved mountains in brokering a purchase and then a sale for us in the sometimes treacherous world of NYC co-ops. Liz is easy to work with because she listens well and is a clear and responsive communicator. We have always appreciated her professional and creative approach to problem-solving in the often Byzantine pursuit of four walls and a roof. We look forward to working with Liz again in the future." - Isabell R.

★★★★★
As total beginners in NYC real estate, we had to both buy and sell, and Liz made the whole process easy and enjoyable. She is excellent to work with: Liz is a clear communicator, has high attention to detail, manages expectations, and gives you the support you need during the highs and lows of the process. Throughout the whole experience, we trusted that we were in good hands and LOVE how things have ended up. Liz managed to make each step of this long process fun. - Christian R and Matt R

"Liz was an unbelievable partner during my first home purchase. She is equally as knowledgeable about the full market as she has specific advice for first-time buyers. From understanding my needs to navigating the nuances of purchasing a home needing renovation to emotional support throughout, I could not have done it without her!" - Samantha P.

★★★★★
"As first-time home buyers, we were lucky to have found such a proactive and thoughtful agent. Liz really listened to what we were looking for and worked tirelessly and patiently to help us find our dream home, navigate the bidding process, and ensure a successful closing. We have been loving our apartment and neighborhood. Thank you Liz!" - Betty Z.

"Elizabeth Lawton worked with our family to purchase an apartment in Manhattan in July of 2015. It was a pleasure to work with Elizabeth. She was efficient, thorough and very attentive to our needs. With her assistance we were able to identify the right apartment to purchase in a very short period of time. Elizabeth is also extremely personable and friendly. We had a very positive experience in our interaction with Elizabeth." - Arshad M.

About Liz
The most important metric of the value of Liz Lawton’s work has always been how much it improves the lives of her clients. A seasoned agent in both the sales and rental market in Manhattan and Brooklyn, her business model is centered on her client’s preparedness and fluency in the product in order to execute the deal in an efficient, seamless, and - dare she say- enjoyable manner. Liz’s eclectic background offers her a unique perspective on life and a creative approach to her transactions, which has given her customers an upper hand in comparison to standard practices.

Her command of the neighborhoods from both a market and local’s perspective allows her a more human point of view when it comes to making analytical decisions. She believes her work should manifest in her client’s sustained happiness in their home, so she takes their decisions very seriously, stretching them to consider all angles of their search in order to make sure the home they pick truly feels like a home. She strives to find the perfect marriage of opportunistic resale value and supreme livability in every transaction, all while keeping her client’s assets favorable in the future.

While she is future-focused, she finds herself deep in the past quite often. An avid historian, Liz is deeply enthralled by the stories of New York’s past, constantly seeking to better understand our city and its fabled narrative. From minute details of New York’s role in the revolutionary war, to the painstaking process that was the formation of the grid system, to the cause and impact of various waves of immigration, whether you like it or not, Liz will weave you the account of your investment’s history and offer you a window to the many face of New York prior.

After growing up in Boston, Liz went on to receive her Bachelor’s of Science in Premed/Biology from the University of Chicago. While at UChicago, she was two-time NCAA National Champion in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters in Outdoor Track and additionally, was a four-time NCAA All-American in Indoor Track and Cross Country. Since matriculation, she’s continued chasing this passion, however at much longer distances; she’s proudly completed 15 marathons, notably seven of those being the Boston Marathon. Her unwavering endurance and complete commitment to a cause carries over from her running life into her professional work ethic, as she believes to reach any such goal requires concentrated focus and consistent effect.

As she’s an avid writer, you can find more from Liz on her quite colorful blog, LizLawton.com, and (as she decided will be so) climbing the charts of the New York Times best-sellers list in the coming years.
