""Lisa was referred to me by a close friend who also moved up to Chicago from Florida to work in the hospitality industry after college like myself. Lisa was incredibly helpful, responsive, gave lots of great insight, and worked with us on a tight timeline to tour and find an apartment to lease in the River North area of downtown Chicago. We spent the day touring lots of amazing options and found exactly what we were looking for when we came up to visit. For anyone else I know moving to the city, I will without a doubt recommend her since she made the experience so seamless and a lot less stressful than finding a rental unit completely on our own in a new city. Thank you so much Lisa for all your help and it’s easy to see why she has an overwhelming amount of 5 star reviews!!!""

"“Lisa is an incredible realtor-- a refreshing combination of genuine and capable. She rolled with my changing needs admirably, and went above and beyond to make sure that my apartment was exactly what I needed, even when I couldn't attend the viewings in person. I highly recommend her for your realtor needs, and will definitely be working with her whenever I decide to move again (though it will probably be a while, since she knocked it out of the park on this one!)”"

""Lisa was terrific. We were out of town buyers which made the whole process a little more complicated. Lisa was great with communications and she worked with my brother when I could not be in town. I always felt in the know and a part of the process-even from halfway across the country. Our purchase was not an expensive property but I truly felt Lisa gave us the same level of commitment and care as someone buying a million dollar property. I highly recommend Lisa to any anyone looking to buy, no matter if it is your first property or fifth.""

""I fired my previous realtor to work with Lisa, and it was a night and day shift. She was responsive, personal, and took the time to understand what I wanted from my home. She made a difficult closing process so much less stressful, and was kind, funny, and realistic about what was in my budget the whole time.""

""Lisa Kahn made my home purchasing experience so easy! I was coming from out of town with a very tight timeline and Lisa was masterful in planning visits to properties that matched my needs/wants. She found the perfect property at the perfect price! She even had great references for work that needed to be done. I highly recommend Lisa Kahn if you are looking for a new home.""

""Being a first time homebuyer can be scary and anxiety provoking, but Lisa made it so pleasant and fun. Lisa took me to see over 25 places before I found the one. I couldn't recommend her more to anyone trying to find their forever home!!"

Prior to becoming a realtor, I enjoyed a successful career as a professional harpist performing with orchestras all over the United States, and serving as lead harpist for the storied Drake Hotel here in Chicago. I was elected and served as President of the Chicago Chapter of the American Harp Society, and still teach harp at Vandercook College of Music. I am comfortable wearing many hats, and thrive in leadership roles.
Long before I became a realtor, I helped friends and family find their perfect homes. I have always been a student of the market and learned to be patient and focus on what would best serve each person’s unique needs. I purchased my first home, a foreclosure, when I was just 27 years old. As a professional musician, it was a stretch, but I worked hard to make that happen, and it is a great source of pride for me. Regardless of the size of your budget or if you are looking for a condo, house, or investment property, I care about your needs and put you first.
While I enjoyed growing up in Royal Oak, Michigan, an idyllic community outside of Detroit, I knew at a young age that I was meant to live in a big city. After spending nearly a decade residing in the Edgewater Beach neighborhood, I explored many other neighborhoods living in Lincoln Park, Uptown, Old Town, and Lakeshore East. Ultimately, I ended up settling back on the North Side in Andersonville after completing a gut renovation of our condo. Taking a property down to the studs was a valuable experience and has helped me to better advise my clients when taking on construction projects of their own.
In my free time, I enjoy walking around the neighborhood with my miniature schnoodles Buck and Daisy, cuddling with my cats Boot and Pumpkin, trying new restaurants, and attending concerts and museums. When I long to reconnect to my Michigan roots, I sneak away to visit family in Traverse City on the Old Mission Peninsula where I enjoy boating, kayaking, hiking, and of course frequenting the local wineries.
I am thankful for all the many blessings in my life, and so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of yours.
