"We lived in Hoboken, and started to feel the “house itch” during the pandemic. We had a realtor, whom we liked, and were looking for homes in Maplewood, NJ. After being outbid multiple times, the house search became much more stressful and much less fun. On a whim, we decided to go to an open house in Jersey City Heights, and met Liam Hayden. First impressions of Liam Hayden: genuine, affable, extremely knowledgeable, assertive but not pushy, and not at all pretentious. That night, after the open house, we got the usual “realtor-thank-you-text” from Liam, but this one was different. He remembered both of our names, and told us about a house that wasn’t on the market yet, that matched a lot of our wish list descriptions, and would we like to see it with him? We met him the next day to see the house, which most definitely fit our “charming + modern + family-friendly” criteria. We ended up not going with that house, but we did switch realtors. Going with Liam was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. He is thoughtful and kind, and an absolute professional. He even brought cupcakes for our daughters to one of the walkthroughs of our house. Liam is consistently quick to reply to texts and emails, and follow up with phone calls when more explanation is needed. Liam hustled to get our questions answered, and helped navigate clear communication between us and the seller. We had a few instances during construction where the wrong item was installed or the wrong color was used, and Liam was relentless to ensure our voices were heard and our needs were met. He made stressful situations feel more controllable. Most of the time, it felt like we were his only clients, even though I know his schedule is busy. He always handled our concerns and questions with the utmost urgency, and always made time for us. Liam offered limitless guidance and advice during our entire home-buying-process, and we truly feel like we couldn’t have done it without him. Now that our home-buying-process is over, we still get texts from Liam, but it’s to invite us over for dinner.
