Lauren Mitrick Wood
Lauren Mitrick Wood is a third-generation Realtor® who grew up in a family of real estate entrepreneurs. Born and raised in Wilmette and Lake Forest, suburbs of Chicago, Lauren began her career alongside her parents, Frank and Cheryl Mitrick. Through years of invaluable experience learning and working with them, Lauren's career has flourished, and she now counts some of Chicago's most influential business leaders, investors, and athletes not only as clients but as friends.
Lauren specializes in residential sales in Chicago and its North Shore. In 2017, she became one of the first 20 founding agents of Compass Chicago. In 2019, she launched Olive Well, a Real Estate and Lifestyle team based out of the Compass Bucktown office, where she serves as the team lead and oversees over 12 agents, including her husband, parents, and second cousin—a true family business. Olive Well is consistently ranked among the top 35 teams all across Chicago.
Lauren has served on the board of directors for both the Chicago Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors (NAR). Forbes Magazine and NAR selected her as one of their "30 Under 30" from hundreds of young professionals across the country. She was elected President of the Women’s Council of Realtors – Chicago in 2008, making her the youngest to ever hold the title. She has also been named by Chicago Agent Magazine as one of their "Who's Who in Chicago Real Estate." She recently joined Steve Shull with Performance Coaching as a national real estate trainer and is helping other Realtors across the country grow their businesses.
Lauren currently resides on the North Shore of Chicago in Highland Park with her husband and business partner, Charlie Wood, their daughter, and their energetic Vizsla, Cooper. In 2020, they embarked on their third renovation project, transforming their 100-year-old Howard Van Doren Shaw home into a blend of historical charm and modern comfort. Lauren's passion for design shines through in every detail, from carefully chosen tiles to unique fixtures. You can learn more about their renovation project here. Her favorite part of owning a home is decorating and bringing home special pieces plucked from their travels to places like Morocco, South Africa and Portugal. Ask her about her love of microgreens, what she's planting in her garden and how to style your hats.
