About Laura
Laura is committed to using her experience and knowledge of the real estate market to help her clients buy and sell wisely. She routinely goes above and beyond to provide the exceptional service that she strongly believes her clients deserve. Laura particularly enjoys working with first time home buyers and helping them navigate the buying process. She remembers going through that sometimes confusing process herself more than a decade ago when she bought her home with the help of the District's Home Purchase Assistance Program (HPAP). In fact, it was that experience that inspired her to get her real estate license.
Before shifting her career to real estate, Laura was a dedicated nonprofit manager. Whether raising money for housing programs for people with disabilities, managing a residential program for homeless youth, advising homeowners facing foreclosure, or educating residents about environmental issues in their homes, her work has always focused in some way on housing. Laura believes that owning real estate is an important component of strong, stable communities and a tool for building individual wealth. She believes that everyone deserves to live in a home that is affordable, healthy, efficient and resilient to the impacts of climate change.
Laura loves her little blue bungalow in the NE DC neighborhood of Woodridge. When she’s not working on real estate, she's raising two amazing boys, cooking, seeking out unforgettable food experiences, working her way through the list of home maintenance/improvement projects, meeting up with her writing group at local coffee shops, trying to wrangle her rescue beagle Penny on a dog walk or traversing nearby rivers and trails on foot, bike or kayak.
A few spots that Laura enjoys around the DMV:
The Franciscan Monastery in Brookland
The Anacostia River (the whole thing really but specifically near the Bladensburg Waterfront Park)
A few of Laura's Favorite Restaurants in the DMV:
La Cosecha Food Hall (specifically Arepa Zone and La Casita Pupuseria)
