"We recently purchased our new home with Lana’s help. Lana was a friend when my family decided to ditch our rental and to buy a house (first time buyers, no time on our hands, a newborn in the house, 2 kids and a 1000 constraints: schools, commute, budget, you name it). After having gone with her through the journey of house hunting, Lana is a VERY close friend. And this is not a coincidence. Lana treats her clients like family which means they are her priority - before being serious about buying, while on the hunt, and long after (shall I say: forever? I hope so). Here is a list of some Lana’s qualities that emerged through our engagement.
(1) Lana puts the relationship with client first. This means she always has time for you - weekends and nights, even when on vacation she was reachable and responsive. This also means your interests and your priorities is what is driving the process. I know there is always hesitation while working with real estate agents: are they going to do what’s best for you, or what benefits them, aka “am I going to be screwed”. Lana has taken time to get to know our situation and her suggestions and recommendations always appeared reasonable and well suited for our situation (with flexibility, as we kinda figured out what we wanted on the fly). I never felt pressured by her, I would say she is not really pushy with clients. But when it came to getting things done — like getting through to the seller’s agent or locating lost roof insurance documentation, she persisted until the quest is completed.
(2) Lana is very knowledgeable. She keeps up with the latest developments within the industry making her well informed and armed with data, which is obviously key when you are trying to beat the market. While we were exploring the market, actively making offers, and for many months after (we bought in May) she has been regularly sharing interesting data finds & relevant articles with us, including some exclusive insights/opinions that came from her active participation in ongoing professional (real estate) events.
(3) Lana has “people” for everything you need when you go through house buying/relocation. What I mean is that she knows good (consistently great) brokers, general contractors and even cleaning ladies. We got our mortgage loan through the broker she recommended. Honestly the fact that the broker was able to close the loan within 20 days is probably what landed us the house with the buyers who were rushing to sell. Lana knew this brokerage will be quick to close. The team delivered like a champ, and it felt like a part of their effort was to do well by Lana who they clearly love and respect as a long-term colleague.
