"This is a long review because I can’t speaking highly enough about [Tandem]. My husband, 1 year old daughter and I lived in Jersey City and were ready to make the move to the suburbs. We were interested in Maplewood/South Orange so I asked my coworkers who live in that area if they had a realtor recommendation. In terms of our actual search it was short and sweet, thanks to their support. We loved the Compass platform; we would flag houses we were interested in and the team either had already been physically in the house and gave us a thorough rundown, or else visited it for us and reported back within days to help gauge our interest level. We struggled to find child care on weekends to attend open houses but this was not an issue because our realtors scheduled private showings at our convenience on weekday mornings. We did not want to spend months attending open houses; we looked at perhaps a hundred listings online and only pursued a few in person based on our firm “must have” list.

When we decided to proceed with an offer we felt fully supported every step of the way. At NO point did I once feel pressured to increase our offer or hit a certain number. I felt educated by the team that I had a ballpark idea of what a winning bid might be, but when it came time to put forward the offer it was purely support from the team vs anything overly prescriptive. [Tandem] helped us build a solid offer with strong terms that was accepted on a house that received over 10 bids! This real estate market can be intimidating with low inventory and high interest rates but working with this team made things easy.

After the sale, the amazing service continued. They referred us the following, and I cannot tell you the amount of time it saved me from having to research and hem and haw if I was making a good choice: broker, real estate lawyer, plumber, mason, dentist, pediatrician, cleaning lady, handyman, restaurants, holiday recipes and more. I truly felt welcomed into the town by a friend vs someone from a business transaction.
