About Kayla
Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Kayla built a strong foundation for selling homes dating back to 2010. While attending the University of Colorado at Boulder, she spent summers interning for one of the top luxury developers in Washington, D.C., assisting in the sellout of 22West, a luxury condominium project in the WestEnd. Her career was kickstarted during those summers working alongside her mother and successful real estate broker, Mei-Mei Venners. “I learned very early on what it takes to be successful in this industry- trust and communication, consistency, and knowing your product and market”, Kayla says.
After graduating, Kayla worked as the Leasing and Marketing Manager for EdR Trust, one of the nation’s top Real Estate Investment Trusts specializing in the acquisition and development of student housing near university campuses. She was quickly recognized as one of the top associates and was awarded the 2014 EdR Star award for extraordinary job performance and professionalism.
In 2016, she returned to her roots in Washington, D.C. and joined Eastbanc as a Senior Sales Associate for the newest $150M luxury condominium project- the Westlight. It is here that Kayla established her presence in the market, created an outstanding client and broker network, and developed a very high level of service to her clients.
“I have worked with everyone from Vice Presidents to senators, fortune 500 CEO’s to empty nesters, and first time homebuyers to college students. Real estate is so much more than a transaction. We are in the business of people, and my clients know I am available anytime, anywhere. Relationships are my most valuable asset”.
After successfully selling the Westlight project, Kayla joined the Chauvin House team at Compass in 2022. “I have worked with Patrick, Brad and DJ for years, and I knew it would be a seamless transition. I look forward to a long and successful future with this team”.
When she finds time for herself, Kayla enjoys the local music scene and spending time outdoors with her German Shepherd dog. “It’s all about the little things”, she says.
