About Katya
Raised in Texas, Katya considers Austin her hometown having spent most of her life here. She attended elementary, middle school, and high school in the Capital City as well as many professional career years in Austin after college. Her immediate family including her parents, brother, and family call Austin home as well. She has also lived and worked in Dallas and Houston, as well as attending Texas Christian University (TCU) in Ft. Worth where she earned her degree in Business Administration and Marketing and a Minor in Spanish.
Since graduating college, Katya has led several management teams specializing in client and customer service with large companies including IBM, Morneau Shepell, Arthur Andersen, and Mercer, as well as smaller startups like ClearBlade and Employer Direct Healthcare. During her corporate years, Katya focused on Client Management and Satisfaction, always striving to find the best solutions for her clients, making sure they were satisfied, successful, and referenceable. She advised, counseled, and negotiated for her clients in various areas of business. Katya understands the client’s big picture but prides herself in maintaining her attention to detail. She is well suited to deal with all styles and backgrounds of clients, as well as all aspects of the real estate process, having had significant experience in contract negotiation, sales, and contract management experience. Katya is excited and challenged to continue her history of client success with Compass, a company with global outreach and a team of experts to whom she can contribute.
Up early each morning and on the move all day, Katya is not only the mother of three but an active and involved part of the Austin community. Her love for this city is clear and infectious. Katya values the culture and history of Austin with its wealth of diversified communities. Working with people, making connections, and finding just the right fit for each individual or family is her motivation. Katya loves the unique aspects of home architecture and interior design, always looking for possibilities for improvement. Completely fluent in English and Spanish having lived in Mexico for a time, Katya is a proficient, bilingual communicator who brings the added benefit and ability to cross language and cultural bridges with real estate clients from outside the United States.
