For DC-based agent Katri Hunter, real estate is all about transforming what’s normally an intimidating process into one that’s approachable — and rewarding — for every client. Pairing compassionate customer service with a mastery of transaction management, Katri has made it her mission to find the right solution for buyers and sellers at every price point and phase of life. Katri was raised in Northern California and the UK. After receiving her undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont, Katri moved to DC to get her Masters in Forensic Science at George Washington University. While applying her degree to a career in Computer Forensics, she bought her first property with the guidance of an agent-turned-friend who noticed Katri’s knack for the business and encouraged her to pursue a real estate career of her own. Never one to waste valuable time, Katri got her license in DC, MD and VA and never looked back.
Today, Katri is a dedicated agent and the trusted advisor you can always turn to. Recognizing just how momentous a decision it is to buy or sell, Katri is as detail-oriented as she is driven. She takes pride in managing every aspect of the transaction for her clients — from corresponding with lenders to presenting competitive offers to negotiating the optimal outcome. Whether you’re a first-time buyer or a seasoned seller, Katri will get to know you, recognize your goals, and design a personalized experience centered exclusively on your terms. Her unrivaled local knowledge encompasses a distinct understanding of the many DMV neighborhoods where she’s lived over the years — including Alexandria, Bethesda, Capitol Hill, and Logan Circle (to name just a few). Regional expertise aside, she’s also the proud owner of multiple rental properties, making her uniquely positioned to counsel landlords on the complexities of DMV tenant law. Over the years, Katri’s penchant for people and industry knowledge have produced a lifetime sales volume of over $340M, but at the end of the day, it’s the milestones she helps her clients reach that matter most.
When she’s not going above and beyond for her clients, you can find Katri riding horses competitively, traveling on a new adventure, playing with her pitbull, and spending time with her husband. In 2015, Katri donated her kidney to a friend. She has since been actively involved in the National Kidney Foundation as a member of their board and an advocate for living donors ever since.
