Josette Hynes

Originally from New York, Jo grew up along the north shore of Long Island and later attended college in Charleston, South Carolina. Immediately following college she headed to Colorado for a year of ski-bum fun. It was in the Vail Valley that Jo began a 14-year career in hospitality management. She enjoyed 14 years of sales, conventions and event management, with the culminating Denver 2010 POTUS visit. Politically impartial, she reminisces, "when you are chosen to manage a Presidential visit, the only agenda is to make it the most remarkable event for everyone involved." 

From 1999 to 2014, Jo and her husband Bill lived in Denver, renovated two homes, and had four children. On a whim in 2014, the family decided it was time for a new adventure on the coast of northeast Florida. They landed in Nocatee, Ponte Vedra for the first two years and then hopped over the bridge to Ponte Vedra Beach and at the same time, they established The Hynes Team as local real estate advisors.

Jo's knowledge knowledge surpasses most realtors including comprehension of construction, knowing how to calculate return rates for investors, and understanding forecasting, occupancy, and ADRs for short term rental buyers, plus an extensive network of everything local, her expertise speaks for itself. 

Primarily a buyer's agent, she is also a parent whose children have gone through the local schools, so she goes above and beyond for families seeking the best place to call home. For investors, Jo has a keen eye for homes that offer the best return potential with a little bit of work and she also works with local builders to help buyers create the vision they have when coming to enjoy our area's coastal life.  

Jo and Bill enjoy traveling both internationally and around the states. The family frequents Oxford, Mississippi where their two oldest kids attend Ole Miss and share "Hotty Toddy" greetings with locals. At home, Jo enjoys renovation projects and a woodworking hobby. She will laugh when sharing, "the power tools are mine and the kitchen is Bill's."  Though they both love to cook, Bill is the family gourmet!  

Active with local school PTOs and a supporter of Best Buddies International (an outreach which their children have been involved with for years), Jo teaches her kids to serve and give back. Always up for adventure, her next dream is to find the perfect home in Italy for their family to enjoy vacations and maybe retirement one day.
