John Casparro

John is a born and raised Burlington County resident. He is a proud alumni of Palmyra High School. He graduated and attended Cabrini College in Radnor to earn his degree in Finance and Accounting. Since then John has surrounded himself with his real estate passion for almost 20 years. He started his career at a national accounting firm and earned his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license. Having a heavy real estate focus John was in the weeds diving into the books of various companies including commercial and residential developers, REITs and smaller investors. His drive introduced him to many different aspects of real estate from an accounting point of view. John wanted to learn more so he dove into the private industry. At a boutique owner/manager in South Jersey John learned the operational side of commercial real estate. Working with maintenance teams, tenants, brokers and lenders John was touching everything commercial real estate had to offer. But wait, there's more! Moving on from the south jersey firm John went to a central jersey real estate investor underwriting properties across the country. Mostly looking at undervalued office properties he guided the ownership group to build a high performing portfolio purchased at high cap rates now valued at well above purchase price. But wait, there's more! In 2016, John realizing he had one more asset to tackle, retail real estate, joined his "forever work family". Running a team that manages over 5,000,000 SF out of Jenkintown, PA, John has found his place in the retail real estate development world. Using his various roles he provides a unique leadership skillset leading the group to completely change operations. Streamlining, implementing software and making things as efficient as possible he has been able to set the company up for growth. BUT WAIT, THERES MORE!

Back in 2012 (all while doing the fun commercial stuff), John went to Don Haven's illustrious classes and received his real estate license. Not really sure what he was planning on doing with it he hung the license with a friend. After a few years, John realized how much benefit there was to his financial and real estate background in the residential markets. He joined the McDonnell Team on a whim not really sure if Bill and Tina were up to partners. It has been fireworks since. John's background in large, complicated commercial contracts and deals allows him to look at things from a different angle. Unfazed by most issues, John provides a relaxing and methodical approach to purchasing and selling homes. Growing up locally and constantly immersing himself in all things real estate, John has a never-ending passion to know everything that is going on in local real estate markets and positions his clients in the best possible spot when bidding on or listing homes. Following the McDonnell Team mentality of focusing on clients instead of commissions or volumes John works through existing referrals of family and friends. Working part-time and closing with Bill and Tina it truly is an amazing partnership that allows each transaction to be a smooth experience for buyers and sellers, from beginning to end. 

John resides in Riverton, NJ with his wife and two children. Excited to see them follow in his footsteps at PHS, John couldn't be happier staying local. As President and Founder of the Palmyra Improvement Association (a local civic organization) and a constant attendee at local meetings he is happy to talk for hours on anything Pal-Riv!
