"Jason is a competent, responsive and trustworthy realtor. We first spoke to Jason by telephone, explaining that after years of living within commuting distance to our New York workplaces, we were looking to return to the Philadelphia area as we neared retirement. When we first met Jason, he showed us seven diverse houses to gauge our interest in home condition, house style, amenities and neighborhood. He prepared a booklet for us, with Multiple Listing Service detailed information on each of these houses. We were, no doubt, difficult clients, because our idea of what we wanted was vague: We wanted to be in a walkable community, close to public transportation, but we were undecided on towns; we’d consider everything from Wayne and Villanova to Media and Havertown. Over some months, Jason showed us homes in all these communities. During those home visits, he pointed out major improvements, such as electrical wiring, that homeowners had made, and, in other cases, pointed out items of potential concern that would be expensive to correct. He demonstrated a solid knowledge of community regulations. When we found the house, which had gone on the market just days before, we were excited about, Jason scrutinized the property with us, taking measurements where needed, and helped us prepare an offer, which included a price-escalation addendum. There was another offer on the house, and there was -and-forth between the sellers and competing buyers. Ultimately, the sellers accepted our offer. Jason assisted us after our offer was accepted, recommending various inspectors, attending the home and other inspections, and ensuring the work that we asked be done was satisfactorily . With no haggling, we settled two months after our offer was accepted, and settlement could not have gone smoother. During our many months of working with Jason, there were three other homes that wowed us, but we had reservations about street traffic or other items. We never felt uncomfortable, rushed, or urged to make an offer.
