She helped us find the right house even when we were not in the San Jose Area. She drove around the city to ensure we got to see the houses we were interested in. After she would give us virtual tours of the houses we liked, she would drive around the neighborhood, to make sure it was up to our standards. "Jamie is a fantastic realtor, and we could not have been luckier than to have her professional assistance in purchasing our first home in Santa Clara. I use a wheelchair, so our dream home had quite a few extra parameters, and we had a narrow geographical range (about 1 mile diameter). Jamie was very patient with us and really worked with us to get a sense of what we were looking for, even as we bounced back and forth between fixers and turn-key homes. We also never felt pushed by her to choose one way or another on a home, which was important to us, as we were trying to stick to our self-imposed budget - she gave us our opinion on value but never tried to sway us either way on an offer. In the end, she helped us close on the home of our dreams, even after we were initially out-bid. After offers, she also helped us find contractors for termite work that needed to be done on the house and had recommendations for other tradespeople. "When it was time to sell my home, I was at a loss. My husband had recently passed away and I had no experience in what was to come. I received a flyer from Jamie Sweeney along with several others. Something struck me to choose Jamie. I called her and we set a date to meet. As soon as we sat down together, I was so comfortable talking with her. She just felt like a friend right away and very sincere about helping me through this difficult time in my life. She was determined to help me receive the highest price for my home. Throughout the whole process, she was there to advise, follow up and do anything to help me prepare for the sale. She knew I needed bubble wrap to get started and boxes. She texted the next day asking me to look on my doorstep. To my amazement, there were bundles of bubble wrap waiting for me. She checked with previous clients who had moved to my area and arranged for me to pick up used boxes from them which saved a bundle. I had to move furniture to the garage to prepare for the staging of the home and didn't want me to incur more cost, so her husband and son came and moved it all for me. New rules required fire alarms in each room, which I only had 1 in the hall. She showed up the next day with alarms she purchased and arranged a great guy to come and install them. She had a wonderful woman stage the home. It was perfect when she was done. We met for lunch several times to go over how things were progressing in which she treat me each time. If someone was to come to the home to show it, she would call at the time they were to arrive and made sure they had. Everything that was required, she always followed up to make sure it was done properly. All the way through the process and beyond, she was there for me. My home sold for the best price in my area. When I moved and needed to prepare my taxes, she was able to prepare a "step-up appraisal" when my husband passed, for the sale of my home, so I would't have to pay much taxes on the gain. She is one of only a few realtors that is approved to do this. It ended up I paid no taxes on the gain. We remain friends to this day, updating each other on our lives and happy times. I would certainly recommend Jamie to everyone who wished the best experience and help in selling their home. I know she will go over and beyond the norm. "To date, Jamie has helped me purchase 5 properties. Four of the properties were investment properties(duplexes) and one is a beautiful, new 4 bedroom house in San Jose which will soon serve as my primary residence.
