"As first time home buyers, we were literally walking in blind to this process. We honestly didn't know what the first step was to buying a home. We knew we wanted to buy a house in Imperial Beach but had the slightest idea of someone who could help us. Luckily we found Jamie. Jamie was recommended to us from a friend. Our friend had gone through the house buying process with Jamie and said that he was very knowledgeable about the IB Market. And that's nothing but true. Literally the day after we got ahold of Jamie and let him know what we were looking for, he was already lining up houses for us to tour. In a week we had toured a few houses and had already picked out a couple options that were best fit for us. Jamie knew exactly what kind of neighborhoods would best fit us and how the market was playing out. They were on the rise in price and he let us know. During this process, we basically ended up going through two escrows. What had happened was: we had found a house that we liked, went into escrow with it and during our contingency period, some things had popped up that we didn't like about the house, saw another house we were interested in and were able to swiftly and quickly switch escrows. Jamie literally had our back the whole time. He made sure we were in the right and protected the whole time. Not once did he complain or question us, he just wanted us to be happy. We moved fast to the second escrow and went through all the contract signings and boy did we have questions. It was scary, we didn't know a lot about the process and were always very concerned about where our money went, so we always went to Jamie for reassurance. He would let us know almost immediately after we called or texted, an answer to our concerns and we instantly understood what was going on. During the inspections, Jamie was incredibly knowledgeable about repairs. We ended up getting almost double the seller credit we were offered in contract because of the things Jamie had found and told us should be requested. We grew to trust him a whole lot through this process and really relied on him when is came to major concerns. In the end, we ended up with a house we adore and is already going up in price. Honestly, we couldn't have done this without Jamie. He was there every step or the way with us and then some. "Buying a first home can be a pretty overwhelming process, let alone having one of us in San Diego and the other traveling abroad in Tokyo, Japan. Luckily we had Jamie, who ensured we were prepared, informed and ready to do what we needed to do to get into our first home. Right from the get-go Jamie set up our MLS access so we could start to go through homes, filter out the ones we didn’t like and star the ones we liked. This helped out a lot as we were able to profile what our “hub” needed to be and Jamie advised us on a daily basis. He was thorough, had a great understanding of the local market and was very accessible. As this was a new process to us, Jamie sat down and prepped us through the purchase contract, escrow process and additional details we needed to be ready for in the event we found something we fell in love with.
