About James
James is happy to join Compass and The Damon Skelton Group. Originally from Long Beach, NY, James spent several years living in Hawaii in the field of marine biology before moving to Malibu with his wife. This move allowed James to pivot and pursue one of his lifelong passions in real estate.
Since 2016, James has personally invested in and managed several income properties, including both vacation and long term rentals. Additionally, James has overseen estate caretaking for a broad portfolio of impressive properties throughout Malibu and the Palisades. James is looking forward to connecting his network of buyers to their next perfect home.
James’ other passions include surfing, biking, scuba diving and photography which has made Malibu an easy place to call home. He can often be found walking on the beach with his wife and their Great Dane, Harvey.
