"We met Jake during one of the hottest and most competitive LA real estate markets to date. After some not-so-great experiences with agents, meeting Jake was like a dream come true. The first step was for him to really understand what we were looking for. We came to him with quite a few listings that interested us and he set up every single one PLUS many more that he thought fit our description. After hardly any time, we put in an offer on a home that Jake had suggested we look at and by miracle (and Jake’s hard work, persistence, and patience) we were accepted! As first time home buyers, Jake made the process so simple and ensured we were comfortable at every step of the way. He took the time to explain everything and make sure we knew what we were agreeing to, signing etc. When a few questionable issues came up, Jake brought in experts to help us navigate the situation and encouraged us to understand absolutely everything we could about the home we were buying. There were zero surprises and the only sad part of the process was that we didn’t get to spend more time with him. He truly is a gem of human and agent and we’re sooooo lucky we found him!" - Alexandra C.

"Buying a home in Los Angeles was among the most difficult feats we’ve ever attempted, and it would have been impossible without Jake’s confidence, knowledge, and steady hand. Jake very quickly honed in on what we were looking for and helped us imagine the maximum potential of every space we visited (his experience as an architect and designer is impressive!) When we finally found our dream home, it was obvious that in the current market, bidding on a house was like going into battle. In the end, we went to war, had Jake Lazere on our side, and it’s hard to imagine a better agent to have in a foxhole. Highest recommendation!" - Kimberely H.
Jake grew up in Southern California and currently lives with his husband Alexander and their two dogs in both their 1930s home in Silver Lake and midcentury homestead near Joshua Tree, both of which he renovated. His love of residential architecture and design history led him to accept a position on the board of FortLA, an organization dedicated to celebrating, studying, preserving, and increasing access to architecturally significant homes in LA.
