About Ismael
Ismael Benhamida specializes in multifamily investments in the San Francisco Bay Area and has 15+ years of real estate brokerage and investment experience and has completed hundreds of millions of dollars in transactions. He helps real estate investors create well thought-out and strategic plans to optimize their real estate portfolios and then executes on these plans to achieve their goals. Ismael is relentless, creative, and innovative in finding ways to serve his clients’ interests. As an example, he has helped clients split up multi-parcel apartment complexes and sell the buildings separately which generated significant price premiums to the sales prices which would not have been achieved if they were sold as a single portfolio.
Prior to joining Compass, Ismael spent six years at Marcus & Millichap where he was rookie of the year, a recipient of multiple sales awards, and given an early promotion to vice president. Ismael was also a part of eBay's business management team where he designed, launched, and managed trust policies and risk management systems on a global basis. This position gave him extensive experience in complex financial modeling, risk analysis, and market design. Ismael has also owned an e-commerce luxury goods business for more than 19 years, and prior to that worked as a chemical engineer at Novellus Systems.
Ismael graduated with an MBA in Finance and Real Estate from The Wharton School and graduated with a double major in Chemical Engineering and Materials Science from U.C. Berkeley. The totality of Ismael's experiences gives him a unique set of skills to sense opportunity, manage complex negotiations and transactions, and ultimately serve the best interests of his clients.
