"Howard was referred to us by a work colleague because of husband's move from Houston, Texas, to Evanston, Illinois. Howard is excellent & if we could rate him 10 stars, we would! Before the move, Howard sent us listings from various suburbs of homes matching our needs (i.e., enough space to move in my elderly parents). Through the listings, we narrowed our search to Evanston & flew up to look at homes. Howard had a schedule of about 10 homes for us to view with our teenagers in one busy weekend. About Howard
Buying or selling a house is both a rational and emotional decision. That’s why clients love working with Howard, a sought-after, top-performing real estate professional who has enjoyed helping clients make rewarding real estate decisions since 2005.  

His prior career experience is an uncommon marriage of heart mind. Howard’s first profession was as a social worker providing outreach to persons with emotional  disabilities. After that, he discovered he also enjoyed the analytical fast-paced work of an independent trader. As a result, he spent 25 years at the Chicago Board of Trade, where he specialized in financial products, specifically long-term U.S. Treasury Bonds.   

This unique foundation gives Howard the intellectual emotional intelligence to help his clients make real estate transactions that are both personally satisfying financially sound. Recognizing how stressful the real estate process can be for clients, he keeps them updated with thorough timely information. In addition to his comprehensive knowledge of the North Shore real estate market, Howard also analyzes current economic data to help guide buyers sellers.   

With his analytical skills, Howard helps buyers understand the implications of not only a home purchase but also its future resale. They also draw on his personal experience having completed five extensive home renovations on the North Shore.   

Sellers rely on Howard’s expert financial analysis in determining an equitable asking price and negotiating on their behalf. By separating the emotional elements from the sales process, Howard helps sellers successfully navigate complicated transactions.   

In 2005, the North Shore Barrington Real Estate Board named Howard and Susan “Rookie of the Year,” and together they have made The Meyers Group a respected name in North Shore and Chicago real estate.  

Married for 39 years, Howard and Susan have three adult daughters, one darling granddaughter and a flat-coated retriever. When he is not working, Howard is likely to be pulling weeds, planting perennials, or finding ways to incorporate the vegetables from his garden into tonight’s dinner.
