"We LOVED working with Haunani Sullivan. We initially contacted Haunani regarding purchasing a Kauai vacation rental. A place where we could visit and rent out the rest of the year. We live on Oahu and Haunani went above and beyond our expectations. She would visit a property that was of interest and walk through using Facetime. At one time we had an accepted offer and then withdrew after the inspection. As we began looking again, the clock was ticking. We had sold an investment property and had only forty-five days to identify a replacement property to abide by the 1031 Exchange rules. It is a definite pleasure to share with you how awesome Haunani is and how she and Compass made our purchase stress-free.
Haunani was a referral from a friend. We wanted to purchase something in our price range for our daughter who recently got married and moved to Kauai.
Being that we reside in Oahu I thought this was not possible nor would it be a simple process. I was so wrong!
I contacted Haunani in Sept. She immediately went to work to share listings with us. Maybe we were in the right place and the right time but everything from there went like clockwork. We found something that we could work with. With the advice from Haunani we put in an offer. We were not their first choice but because of our offer, we were asked to be the backup offer. We continued to look but it didnāt take long before our offer became the primary offer.
Haunani kept me abreast of everything as it came up. Every time I called I received a call back or text within a few hrs. Most times immediately. Communication is the most important for my husband and I. If I was working she would contact him. We always knew what was going on and we werenāt even on the island. The Team at Compass sent me all the necessary documents to fill out as it was needed. Just when it became crunch time and documents and deadlines came pouring in Haunani and the Compass Team were right there to hold our hands and guide us along the way. Whew!
We have done a few transactions in the past and NEVER has it been so smooth and painless. Iām not sure if it's supposed to be as smooth as it was but Iām sure at Compass it always is!! Always Professional and Kind. Patient with all our questions and what ifās. Living off-island I thought this was going to be a nightmare.
We started in Sept and received our keys in November!! Weāre still pinching ourselves on how smooth everything went. Our daughter is now moving into a new condo and ready to start her own new adventure!
