About Gretchen
Gretchen Cowden Brasch, a third generation Dallas native, is a graduate of Highland Park High School and The University of Texas at Austin. Gretchen began selling real estate in 1990.
An innate sense of value, constant attention to detail, strategic negotiating skills and the highest level of customer service have resulted in Gretchen's extremely impressive record of client referrals and repeat business. She works closely with her business partner and life-long friend, Elly Holder, to make sure every need is met quickly, efficiently and with integrity. Gretchen and Elly are known for their networking abilities and rapport with other agents in the industry, their responsiveness, and their strong work ethic - just a few of the reasons why they are consistently named top producers on the D Magazine's Best list - a leader in Dallas real estate for over 53 years.
While specializing in the Park Cities, Greenway Parks, Devonshire, Bluffview, Preston Hollow and East Dallas, Gretchen admits that her favorite part of the business is helping buyers find just the right home by searching for properties that are not currently on the market. “For me, it's like working a puzzle, and there's nothing more satisfying than finding just the right piece. I get so much satisfaction from finding the perfect house for someone,” she explains.
Another area of specialty for Gretchen on the listing side of the business is staging and preparing a property for photography. Often times, just moving furniture a bit, changing a paint color, or modifying decorative furnishings can make the difference that will prompt the buyer to move forward with a purchase. Gretchen loves the creative side of listing properties and works closely with her photographer to make sure all photos are perfect, limiting objections before the buyer walks in the door. Consequently, her property brochures are also some of the prettiest and most admired.
Gretchen lives in Greenway Parks with her husband, Reiner, and their two daughters. She and Reiner enjoy the varying mix of architecture in Dallas and have personally restored several historic homes. She loves traveling, working in her yard, and spending time with and friends, most of whom are also her real estate clients.
