About Greg
A blurry photo of a dark colored building

Celebrating his twentieth year in the business, New York native Greg Mire offers clients unparalleled insight and expertise in both the practical and emotional aspects of New York City real estate. Having purchased and sold several properties in Manhattan and Brooklyn himself, that knowledge is hard-earned and personal, so it's no surprise that he finds great joy in connecting with clients and helping them realize their own real estate dreams.

A former actor prior to entering real estate, Greg originally came into the business equipped with a number of skills highly attuned to delivering success and building relationships. For both actors and real estate agents, the ability to listen carefully is paramount. Greg's acting training also honed his ability to be at ease with new people in stressful situations, to adapt to change, and to persevere no matter the challenges.

While sellers appreciate Greg's thorough, detail-oriented approach and the deep roster of local vendors he brings in to maximize a property's value, buyers and investors seek out his counsel due to his much-admired low-pressure approach. He has seemingly infinite reserves of patience, and his devotion to total transparency makes it abundantly clear that he puts his clients' interests above all else.

Throughout his career, Greg has consistently ranked within the top one percent nationwide and has produced nearly $600,000,000 in transactional volume since 2016. Immediately before joining Compass, he earned Salesperson the Year accolades in his former Chelsea/Flatiron office at The Corcoran Group, and since then has been recognized by Wall Street Journal/Real Trends as one of America's Best Agents every year. Passionate about New York City and energized by the ever-changing, exciting nature of the real estate business, Greg strives to connect with clients, exceed expectations and create long-lasting, ongoing relationships.

Greg has lived in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, giving him an in-depth knowledge of our city's many neighborhoods and enclaves. "I truly feel as if I am a part of this city. I don't think I'd be happy selling anywhere else," he says. He currently resides in Cobble Hill with his wife and two children. In his free time, you'll find him trying to find the city’s next greatest restaurant, taking in live music and theater, traveling, and cheering on his New York Yankees.

" I thank my lucky stars for Greg Mire, who helped my apartment sell for a record price in record time! He guided me through the process from start to finish – from determining the best way to prepare the apartment for sale, navigating through open houses and a bidding war, and selecting the best buyer. Greg knows the way to achieve the best return on your investment. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a professional and knowledgeable real estate agent."--Natalie Kalmar, Seller

★★★★★
"Having successfully worked with Greg Mire on multiple occasions, he was my first call when we decided to purchase a larger home. Greg patiently showed us varying options and we eventually fell in love with one we wouldn't have considered without his out-of-the-box thinking. As a result, I needed to sell my 260 Park Avenue South apartment quickly. Greg’s marketing was fantastic in immediately attracting multiple buyers and achieving the highest possible price with excellent terms. I was nervous about potential complications in conducting simultaneous transactions, but with Greg at the helm, all went smoother than I could have imagined. This was my fourth sale with Greg at 260 PAS, and I couldn’t recommend him more highly."-Jonathan Cantor, Buyer & Seller

★★★★★
"In selling our apartment, Greg devised an aggressive, multi-faceted strategy based on his knowledge of the Brooklyn market and confidence in the demand for our condo. We sold our apartment well over the asking price with the luxury of choosing the buyer we preferred that could close the fastest." -Dale Edwards, Seller

★★★★★
"Greg and his team assisted with my first home purchase in NYC. Their professionalism and attention detail were world class through the entire process. From organizing tours of possible units through contract negotiation to the closing details they were helpful every step of the way. I would recommend Greg to any of my friends, family or colleagues. If you are looking for a broker in NYC Greg is your guy" -Maxwell Nemerow, Buyer

★★★★★
"When my husband and I were expecting a baby, we needed to sell our Upper East Side apartment quickly to move to a bigger space. We put our trust in Greg to get the job done. Every step of the sale process was treated with utmost professionalism and focus. We were very concerned about the costs involved in getting our apartment to its ideal sales condition. Greg listened to our hesitations and provided us with a variety of options. When we received an over-asking price offer we knew that working with Greg was the right choice. In the chaotic real estate market in New York City, having Greg on your side is a huge advantage." -Stacey Wanicur, Seller

★★★★★
"Greg and his team are of the upmost professional status I've dealt with in the Brooklyn/NYC area. They were timely, responsive, and very patient when I had a question that didn't make sense or needed to be sorted out. Their experience paid off for me personally with the fast and robust sale of my apartment, which I thought would take forever." -Ari Dowlegowsi, Seller

★★★★★
"Working with Greg redefined our experience with residential brokers. If results are all that matters, he helped us to achieve a sale price well north of our goal. But his process was impressive at every turn. He proposed and coordinated every detail from minor touch-ups that added more value than they cost; staging; a complex board process; vetting buyers. We handed the whole process (and the keys) to Greg at the outset and trusted his counsel throughout, and he really delivered. Thank you, Greg!." -Benjamin Sobel, Seller

★★★★★
"We could not be more pleased with our experience working with Greg and his team. Greg gave us incredibly astute guidance on preparing our apartment for sale. He knew exactly where to invest and instilled confidence in his strategy. He spearheaded the entire process of prepping, staging and pricing - all with a calm and extremely competent demeanor. We ended up with an above-ask offer that we happily accepted after only 4 days on the market but Greg's support did not end there. He coordinated walk-throughs with the inspector and future owners as well as the minor repairs needed for closing, some of which occurred while he was on vacation. His team didn't miss a beat. Without a doubt, Greg maximized the value of our apartment and made the process as easy and enjoyable as possible.." -Lauren Goldberg, Seller

★★★★★
"I recently purchased my first NYC apartment in the UWS and Greg was my broker. Being a first-time buyer in the New York market, I needed some hand holding and Greg Mire and his team provided that. From submitting the bid, putting me in touch with a reputable mortgage banker, attorney, and insurance broker, all the way to the closing, I benefited from his experience and advice. Putting together a package for a NYC co-op board can be daunting, but Michelle Duarte on Greg's team combined knowledge, patience, and communication skills, to help me put together the package in a timely manner. I couldn't thank her enough. Greg has a good professional network that he leverages for his clients. I appreciated that whenever I asked him for his opinion on something he gave me the all information I needed in order to make my own decision. He always responded in a timely manner. Greg is a true professional." -Neil Fazel, Buyer

★★★★★
"Professionalism is the first word that I think of when it comes to Greg Mire and his whole team. From start to finish with the sale of my co-op in Brooklyn Heights the process was totally seamless and with the recommendations that Greg and his team made my apartment was sold for the asking price in one day on the market. Let me also state that he is a total gentleman to deal with. I would highly recommend Greg and his team going forward." - John and Ilyana Shaia, Sellers

★★★★★
"We were first-time sellers, crunched for time in a turbulent market that was trending down, and Greg not only guided us through the process but also got us a higher price for our apartment than we’d even thought was possible. From our very first meeting, he was professional and prepared every step of the way. His research was thorough, and his experience throughout the NYC market helped give valuable insight into our particular sale. He brought an aggressive pricing strategy, backed up with solid research and due diligence to justify it. Combined with detailed staging advice, amazing photography, tasteful and well-produced marketing material, and a thoughtful approach to open houses, we were confident listing at a high price (and ended up selling way above the asking price). And whenever we did have a moment of doubt, Greg was calm and collected, keeping us on a clear path with our sales strategy in mind so we didn’t end up selling ourselves short. He was open and honest about feedback he’d gotten from potential buyers, and any time he called with an issue or problem, he had a solution or suggestion to go along with it. He never overpromised, but always overdelivered. We had a fantastic experience with Greg, and couldn’t be more thrilled with the results." -  Tristan and Maya, Sellers

★★★★★
"When we decided to sell our place, we interviewed a few different brokers, including Greg who came highly recommended from a friend of ours. From the initial meeting, it was clear that Greg was incredibly organized and well-prepared. He walked us through the process, gave us his views on the marketplace and offered helpful advice in how best to maximize the value of our apartment. One of Greg’s recommendations was to have some inexpensive updates made to our kitchen and went so far as to arrange a contractor to do high-quality work at a very reasonable price. The end result was impressive relative to the cost and made a difference when trying to differentiate our apartment among similar units in our building and among lower, historical comps. Also, the marketing package (including photos) that Greg’s team put together was a home run with our place showing beautifully. Once we received concrete interest in our unit (which happened quickly given an impressive marketing effort), Greg showed great creativity offering suggestions about how to thread the needle of giving a potential buyer comfort around receiving financing, but also minimizing our risk around our unit under-appraising. If you are looking for a strong, knowledgeable advocate in the real estate process, I’d highly recommend Greg and his team. We will definitely be using him again for any of our future real estate purchases and sales." - Sean and Karin, Sellers

★★★★★

I trust Greg implicitly, and cannot recommend him more highly to anyone interested in buying or selling in NYC." - Adrian Moreira, Buyer & Seller

"Greg was superb in guiding us through our first sale as sellers in Gramercy, and eventual purchase in Williamsburg. He maintained an excellent balance of sensitivity to our emotional decision making, while standing strong with the important themes of transacting in the competitive NYC market. These attributes included prudent advice in staging, renovation, and honest feedback when purchasing." - Sunil Mody, Buyer & Seller

"Greg is by far the best real estate professional we’ve ever worked with. We were blown away at our initial meeting by his research and preparation. He made excellent suggestions for minor improvements that would generate a higher price. Greg made it clear that he felt our building had been undervalued for some time, put careful consideration into pricing, and as a result it sold 27% over ask!" - Hannah and Dan Kluger, Seller
