I was born and raised in Fort Collins, Colorado, just a few miles up the road from Denver. Real estate runs in my family. My father founded a local real estate company in the 1970s, and today, my brother works at the firm my father founded. My grandfather was a developer and homebuilder in Denver and Grand Lake, Colorado.
I graduated with honors from The University of Colorado in Boulder with a Political Science/Pre-Law degree. U.S. Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell hired me directly out of school. I worked on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. and his southern Colorado district office until law school called. I went on to get my Juris Doctorate from Northwestern School of Law in 2003. Following law school and being admitted to practice law in Colorado, I joined the law firm of Robinson Scheurer PC, focusing on land use and real estate law.
In 2004, I got my real estate license to help with transactional work at my law firm and started brokering real estate a short time later. I joined a leading firm in Cherry Creek, where I built a team of successful agents.
In 2010, I started a boutique real estate investment firm to further my vision of delivering a better customer experience. As an owner and managing broker for 14 years, I successfully navigated the turbulent waters of various market cycles. I learned a lot about running a small business but learned even more about managing people and building lasting relationships. I bring all those lessons with me to Compass.
I have a wealth of experience with investment properties and property management. I manage my portfolio of properties and enjoy teaching potential investors how to finance, leverage, manage, and maintain rental properties. My legal background involves permit-to-build processes; HOA issues, zoning, land-use planning, and building code variances.
My personal interests almost exclusively revolve around endurance sports, and health and wellness. I love running, but have probably done too many marathons and Ironman triathlons to be competitive anymore. My mind says go, but my knees say no! I’m an avid cyclist/MTBer, and swimmer. I still have a bucket-list of races to check off (Kona, Leadville, Norseman) so I’m not ready to throw in the towel yet. Other passions include, sports videography, skiing, and travel.
My wife is an architect with an international architecture firm. Our son plays Division I lacrosse at Villanova University in Philadelphia, and our daughter is an accomplished artist and scholar. She will enter college in the fall of 2025. We call Central Denver and Grand Lake our homes.

"Grant was a fabulous guide in our Denver real estate experience. He initially helped us manage our property as a rental, and when the time came, he was our selling agent. He provided excellent guidance over our nearly 10 year relationship from our first phone call to the final closing. We'll be forever grateful for his help. Highly recommend working with Grant." - Brody Wilson

"Grant has been our agent for 15 years and instrumental in our purchase of 4 new homes and the sale of 3. That is for a reason. He is absolutely the most competent, thorough and diligent agent we have encountered. Above all, he is fair and honest. His brokerage firm is appropriately named..."Veritas". I will recommend him without reservation to anybody looking to sell or buy a home. " - Ron Jacobs

"Grant did a wonderful job both helping us purchase our new home and selling our old one. Grant helped navigate an unusual loan assumption and even helped get us into our new house when the previous owner did not leave the keys for us…He climbed up on the roof and went through an open window! Grant did his best to help in all aspects even by removing items left by the previous owner for us" - Noland Forsythe
★★★★★
"Grant was great - he helped us from the beginning to list, sell, and buy a house. He was extremely patient with our house hunting process, showing us MANY houses with a wide search zone early on. As we narrowed the search, he did a great job of not showing us homes that were outside of our optimal location/size/bedroom/and overall 'feel'. Once we found the right one, he did a great job of using his experience to assist in typical buying dos/dont’s and more. The selling process was a bigger deal and he recommended a lot and helped us get to the place we needed to get a full offer on our house. " - Drew Kleppe and Carolyn Worley

"Grant helped us navigate the sale of our property, beginning right as the interest rates began to escalate and the market flattened. His years of experience were invaluable and helped calm our concerns as we moved through this time. Grant's suggestions for the simple fixes to the property, to planning the best time to put it on the market were spot on. He normalized some unique issues helping us maintain our sanity and positive attitudes. We ended up with 3 contracts on one day and got a fair price for the house. We cannot speak highly enough of his market knowledge, professionalism and excellent advise. Grant is the best of the best and we HIGHLY recommend his service." - Linda and Carl Gaetani

"He is the BEST! Grant was very helpful from start to finish, he helped me decide when to put my house on the market, helped analyze comps even in the quickly changing market. He was great with the open houses, our buyer actually saw the house for the first time at an openhouse. He was great in the negotiation and contract phase. Was always available on weekends and at night. He was encouraging when things took longer, and always had a solution. So thankful I used him, and highly recommend Grant!" - Keegan Borgias
