Originally from the Philippines, Gil graduated with distinction earning a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from San Beda College in Manila, moving thereafter to the US to follow his dreams of "traveling, seeing the world and finding happiness." He worked as a corporate accountant for fifteen years, starting at Ernst and Young and eventually becoming a senior accountant for investment companies in private equity and hedge funds at Coast Asset and Kayne Anderson in Los Angeles. His decision to transition into real estate was prompted by a desire for direct fulfillment as well as taking on a diversity of roles to fulfill his customers' needs.
