"For 40 years, my elderly parents owned a historic commercial property in East Haddam, Connecticut, known as Society Hall.  The building was first erected in 1860, and it had served various purposes over the course of decades. My parents are antiques dealers and artists. Society Hall had served as one of their retail outlets for antiques, as well as a space for them to create and market their art. However, as time passed and as they aged, my parents needed to sell Society Hall. The building is a grand dame of East Haddam, but it was in need of much repair and renovation. The decision to sell the building was a very hard one for my parents. Of course, financial considerations and their declining health necessitated a sale.  By the same token, Society Hall had been the center of my parents' work for over 40 years. We needed a buyer with resources, time, and vision to renovate and repurpose that magnificent old structure, and within a matter of weeks, Alexandra and Gigi found exactly such a buyer. So when it was time for me to sell my childhood home, the choice of realtor was an easy one. “Just call Gig.” By the end of the first day, after our conversation she had stopped by the town hall, gathered all the information on the property.
