About George
My strengths in the SF RE market are the result of having navigated a # of different markets since 1995. I first sold property in San Francisco during a recession. Later, I learned how to navigate and negotiate in a `Dot Com` boom. Since then, we`ve seen a great deal of fluctuation in our economy, and as a result, in our real estate market. The lessons of these unique markets have helped to develop and hone my sales and negotiation skills.
I sell residential property throughout the city. Over the years, I`ve established an in-depth knowledge of SF real estate districts 5 and 9: Upper Market, Noe and Cole Valleys, Buena Vista Park, Corona Heights, Hayes Valley, Duboce Triangle, Mission, Potrero Hill, Bernal Heights and Glen Park.
I`m fortunate to work with a dedicated base of past clients who keep me busy with referrals and repeat business. I have a matter-of-fact approach to sales, and like to think of myself as a non-salesperson. This has earned me a loyal following among my clients. In each unique market, a candid exchange of ideas and insight is essential to assist clients to navigate a sale or purchase. I`ll gladly dissuade a client from purchasing a property if I don`t think it offers long-term value. I position my sellers to maximize the timing of any given market. My experience has taught me what works and what doesn`t when marketing a property: how to price; how to present a property to the public; where to spend my advertising dollars; and how to communicate to potential buyers the value of a client`s property.
Outside of real estate, my daily passions include current events, my home on Liberty Hill, my bicycle, and cooking. My life passions are languages, travel, U.S. Politics, and investment property. I studied both Spanish & German for a number of years, and you`ll usually find me traveling during December. Some of my favorite destinations are Burma (Myanmar), Argentina, and Spain, where I lived for a couple of years. I`m a member of the Commonwealth Club, and a frequent attendee at the World Affairs Council. I`m a New Hampshire native, where my love of politics was fostered early. I graduated from UC Santa Cruz in 1993 with a BA in literature. I enjoy the close relations and communication necessary to make the agent/principal relationship a successful one. I`m always happy to see how real estate changes people`s lives. That`s exactly what it`s done for me, and what I like to see for my clients. My client references are available upon request.
