About Erin
After going through a divorce and becoming a full time single mom during the 2008 recession, Erin was dually focused on survival and preserving the peace at home with her 4 year old son. She started selling real estate in 2002 because she was absolutely obsessed with homes and wanted to grow a business. Erin had done quite well and by the age of 28, owned 2 homes. But she also found herself drowning in debt and had to foreclose on her homes to finalize the divorce. She was left flat broke, depressed, and overwhelmed.
Erin took refuge in simplicity and started an eco-friendly house cleaning company - initially doing all the cleaning herself. In short, she went from selling homes to cleaning the toilets in them. Needless to say, it was a pretty humbling experience! Still, a persistent voice inside her kept saying āYouāre made for more.ā For a time, fear held her back. Staying small felt safe. Erin faced a dilemma: Does she stay safe by focusing on survival? Or does she step out of her comfort zone and strive for more? She asked herself what sort of legacy she wanted to create for her son. And then - she allowed herself to dream again.
Later that year, Erin went back to school to study organizational management. She learned about effective communication, leadership styles, and how to build trust through empathy. Her cleaning company had grown enough that she was able to hire people to clean while she worked on marketing, customer service, and admin. This allowed her to spend a couple of days a week studying at the library while her son was in school. Erin's evenings were spent playing with him, helping him with homework, and cooking dinner - until bedtime, then she was writing papers until she couldnāt keep her eyes open. She was tired but loved what she was learning and applying it to her business.
The decision to dream big and go back to school took Erin from surviving to actually thriving. In 2013, she sold her small business, and in 2014, she accepted a role at Dell Technologies. She wasnāt sure where she belonged in corporate America, but trusted friends and mentors helped her see how her background in entrepreneurship added value to the corporate workplace. Working in tech was a big stretch for Erin, she often felt like the dumbest person in the room, which was new and quite uncomfortable for her. But she leaned into the discomfort and found ways to add value quickly. Erin found fulfillment and success in Marketing at Dell and deeply enjoyed her teams and experiences. And then it happened. A desire for something different. A feeling that she wasnāt living up to her full potential. She wondered...āWhatās next for me?ā
Erin sought the help of a career coach and after several assessments and exercises, it was clear to both of them that she needed to get back into real estate. The idea excited her and also scared the heck out of her. Erin desperately wanted to be using her strengths in a client-facing consulting role, but she really loved her predictable paychecks. Once again, she had a choice to make: stay safe and play small or take a risk and strive for more? Striving for more had already changed her life, so she decided to do it again! Best. Decision. Ever.
Now Erin gets to do what she loves every day. She helps you upgrade your home life the same way her coach helped her upgrade her career life. Together, Erin helps you identify what you really want, whatās holding you back from getting it, and make a plan to alleviate the risks and get you to where you want to be. Because where you want to be is where you belong.
