Having attended college at the Colorado School of Mines on a wrestling scholarship, Erik's journey has taken him from the heart of the Midwest to the breathtaking landscapes of Colorado, the serene shores of Hawaii, the rugged beauty of Alaska, and the tropical allure of the Caribbean.
With a background as a licensed boat captain and a seasoned Scuba instructor, Erik has spent many years mastering the art of navigating and exploring the world's most beautiful aquatic environments. Since 2009, he has channeled his expertise into the realm of luxury real estate, becoming a licensed realtor dedicated to helping individuals and families buy and sell exceptional properties on Hawaii Island.
Erik is an active and esteemed member of the North Hawaii Rotary Club, where his dedication to community and service is evident through his various leadership positions, including President, Treasurer, and Secretary. Currently, Erik finds joy in embracing the vibrant cultural heritage of Hawaii by paddling an outrigger canoe with the Waikoloa Canoe Club out of Anaeho’omalu Bay, immersing himself in the island's rich traditions and natural beauty.
Erik and his wife, Romy, first crossed paths while working together on America II, an America's Cup contender during the 1987 racing season. Since then, they have been savoring the luxurious Hawaii lifestyle for over 25 years, working together from the Compass offices on Hawaii Island. Specializing in Kohala Coast Resort properties, they extend their expertise and passion to clients from Kamuela to Kona, curating exclusive experiences in the world of luxury real estate.
