Ed Lynch

Ed Lynch has been involved in Marin real estate since the early 1980s when he started buying real estate at the early age of 19. Over the next 10 years, Ed remodeled and developed numerous properties in Marin County. While serving as a professional firefighter in Tiburon, Ed oversaw the construction of the downtown Tiburon Fire Station and complete renovation of the substation as well as managing day-to-day operations of the department serving the communities of Tiburon and Belvedere.

In the early 90’s Ed became a mortgage banker in Marin County with First Security Loan followed by RPM Mortgage in Mill Valley. Over the next two decades, Ed built a reputation as a highly-respected loan consultant with a can-do, will-do attitude. Having been involved from both the lending side and as a buyer and seller of numerous properties Ed has developed a keen sense of knowledge and respect for what today's buyers and sellers experience in a real estate transaction. In Ed’s words “buying or selling a house is something an average person may do a few times in their life and hiring the right people to represent and guide them through the process is the most critical aspect of the transaction.”

Having served 35 years in the fire service (26 years as a Chief Officer) Ed was involved in strategic planning, critical incident response, personnel development, large-scale incident management, and day-to-day operations. With deep roots in Marin County and active in the community, Ed served as Vice President of the Tiburon Peninsula Foundation and in 2016 served as Commodore of The San Francisco Yacht Club. Bringing his decades of experience in mortgage banking and fire service, Ed has developed a personal skill set that is ideally beneficial to the real estate industry. First with a large California brokerage, and since 2021, Ed has been the Marin County Sales Manager at Compass.
