Denise Freed

As a Managing Director in SoCal, Denise has put her extensive knowledge from her 35+ years of real estate experience to work. Most recently overseeing the successful launch of Compass' Hawaii market. There she helped open offices, hired and consulted with sales managers, staff and agents all during the COVID-19 pandemic. She has now turned that responsibility over to a colleague to run as a separate region.

Denise oversees and co-manages the Main St. Santa Monica office with 270+ agents as well as the Sales Management team in the South Bay (El Segundo - Palos Verdes). She is on the Regional Leadership team of Women of Compass, and regularly consults with senior leadership to ensure the smooth operations of SoCal.  

Denise, having been clean and sober for 38 years, also founded Recovery at Compass, a 12-Step based national affinity group for agents, staff and affiliates overcoming various addictions to meet weekly for support and community. 

When not at work, you can find Denise trying out new restaurants, hanging out with her family and friends, or listening to audio books. She and her daughter Jackie also co-host a podcast called Emergency Protocol where they discuss how to use their re-written 12-steps as tools for living a more meaningful, purposeful and contented life.
