About Debbie
After graduating with an MBA in marketing from the University of Texas’ McCombs School of Business, Debbie Trominski was one of the fortunate few to land the job she wanted as a marketing manager at a software startup. But when the firm didn’t survive, Debbie viewed it as an opportunity to pursue her true passion: real estate. The same day Debbie was laid off, she enrolled in a program that enabled her to get her real estate license and embark on a new career. All these years later, she’s never looked back.

“I love that what I do has a real impact on the lasting quality of life of my clients,” says Debbie. “I love learning and sharing my knowledge about home construction, the real estate market, building wealth, and negotiating great outcomes for my clients.”

Meet Debbie Trominski: Consumer champion, real estate expert, and experienced investor. Debbie says her love of real estate began at a young age. “I moved around a lot as a kid, and so we did a lot of house hunting, and it was always a fun process,” she says. A consistent top producer, Debbie has worked exclusively by referral since 2003.

“I look to establish long-term relationships with each of my clients to take care of them before, during, and after every transaction,” says Debbie. “I am the godmother of their house and am there to support and enhance their homeownership experience as their life-long Realtor.”

Going above and beyond for her clients, Debbie keeps in touch and offers to help them with everything from protesting their property valuation at tax time to sharing her list of preferred contractors when the need arises. “I tell my clients, ‘I come with the house,’” jokes Debbie.

On the anniversary of their home purchase, Debbie pays her clients what she dubs the “Realtor’s equivalent of a physician’s house call.” “I look for maintenance issues, and I can answer any questions about remodeling or moving,” says Debbie. “I go to many home inspections, so I’m well-versed in what might need repair or replacement. I offer my professional opinion and am willing to look at mortgage and insurance rates to make sure my clients aren’t overpaying. From the physical to the financial and everything in between, I see where they are and if they need to make any changes.”

As an active real estate investor and a guide to her many clients who wish to invest, Debbie authored a book on the subject, playfully titled Rich Slow Is My Homeboy: Real Estate Investing Redefined to share her knowledge in a fun and powerful way. Her book is available on Amazon and at BookPeople.

“I have honed a smart, simple, and effective strategy to build wealth through real estate investment that is hands-off and attainable for most homeowners. Once I show my clients my investment philosophy, they get excited about how well it works and go back and buy multiple properties,” she says.

Having lived in Austin for more than two decades, Debbie knows the ins and outs of the greater Austin area and confidently helps clients buy and sell homes in every neighborhood.

“My husband and I have been here a long time, and it’s such a great place to raise kids,” says Debbie, who is a mom to two daughters. “The city is growing so much. It’s vibrant and thriving. There’s so much to do here now. Less than an hour away, you have the beautiful hill country with wineries and lakes, and downtown, you have a more urban feel with music, art, and culture. It’s such a complete city with everything someone would want or need to have a great quality of life.”

When she isn’t helping clients buy or sell homes, Debbie enjoys eating Tex-Mex as often as possible, catching a live music show at The Little Longhorn, chilling in the pool with her family, and cycling.
