Debbie enjoyed working as a paralegal in San Francisco's best law firms and ultimately retired from the San Francisco City Attorney's Office, specializing in Real Estate Transactions, Development & Construction Projects across San Francisco, where she worked for 20 years and specialized in Real Estate Transactions across San Francisco and its Port Commission in numerous significant real estate transactions, development, and construction projects.

Debbie contributed to the enhanced economic vitality of the City's waterfront properties and the quality of life for the citizens of San Francisco and California, where she provided invaluable service and support to the Port's legal team for public-private development projects, such as the Pier 1 Office project, the Piers 1 1/2, 3 and 5 mixed-use project, the ExploratoriumProject at Pier 15, the rehabilitation of Pier 24 by the Pilara foundation, the rehabilitation of the Historic Core along 20th Street at Pier 70 and the 34th America's cup, James R. Herman International Cruise Terminal.
