Sam and Orysia each launched their individual real estate careers in the early 2000s at the same brokerage firm in Chevy Chase. We bonded over shared personal and professional values and a deep commitment to always put our clients’ interests above our own. Sam and Orysia transitioned to Compass around the same time in 2017. Our respective businesses continued to flourish, and it seemed natural to join forces to provide our best practices and complimentary styles of service. Thirty years of combined real estate expertise, we are proud to share our deep industry knowledge with a diverse set of clients. While we continue to work independently with our respective base of clients, we have a collaborative approach when it comes to utilizing the cutting-edge marketing and data driven technology that serves all of our buyers and sellers equally well. Sam and Orysia support one another, so that we can ultimately better support a growing network of clients.

In 2022, The Solovey group welcomed Jon Solovey who is not only a successful Realtor, but also Sam's older brother. Jon had an amazingly productive 2021 at another local brokerage and decided it was time bring his success and momentum to our team in order to support our growing network of buyers and sellers. The Sam Solovey Group is proud to have achieved more than $40M in sales in 2021 and an equally impressive 2022 and 2023 as well.

In 2023, the group welcomed Mary Zitello who has enjoyed a lengthy and prosperous real estate career in the DMV. In fact, she too worked with Sam and Orysia at their prior brokerage in Chevy Chase, so we have completed the "family reunion."

Sam has been married 20 years to his wife Lori, and they have 3 boys aged 14, 12 and 9 as well as their 2 year old Aussiedoodle named Charlotte.  In Sam's free time, he loves to run, bike, do anything and everything with his family and has recently discovered pickleball.
