About Dawn
Dawn grew up in Monterey County and attended the University of San Francisco where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems. She spent some time in “Corporate America” in sales and negotiations and quickly discovered that her chosen career path had left her unfulfilled. Dawn realized how important it is for her to have a meaningful impact on people’s lives. She discovered that real estate is the perfect fit for her because it allows her to use her skills and expertise while connecting with and helping people on a very personal level. For her, nothing is more rewarding.
Dawn believes that Silicon Valley offers an amazing diversity that keeps it fresh and exciting, even after calling the region home for nearly two decades. She is an amateur photographer who enjoys tooling around the Bay Area, taking pictures of the immense beauty that the area offers. A bit of a travel enthusiast, she loves experiencing the culture, architecture, art, and food around the world. Travel is one of her passions and she has a lengthy list of exotic places that she plans to explore with her husband, Jonathan. Jonathan and Dawn are dog lovers and they have two feisty, funny Tibetan Terriers, Milliken and Minnie, who are their canine ‘kids’.
Dawn is an extremely loyal person who is very protective of her family, friends, and clients. She does not believe in representing both buyer and seller on the same property because, to her, doing so is a conflict of interest. Dawn deeply understands that it is her duty to ensure her clients get the perfect home at the best price possible. Her negotiation skills are second to none and the Silicon Valley Mercury News’ “Best in Silicon Valley” backs up this claim.
As a real estate agent, Dawn believes that negotiation is a critical skill. She attended the esteemed Program on Negotiation (PON) at Harvard Law School and she holds a certificate from the Harvard Negotiation Institute. This diverse, global program offers courses that focus on negotiation and leadership as well as a master-level negotiation class. Just a handful of real estate agents across the country have invested in their careers to the level that Dawn has, and only a few hold the advanced negotiations certification.
Dawn’s degree in Information Systems comes in handy as it allows her to identify and utilize the technology that effectively streamlines a large degree of the complex real estate process. This gives her clients a better overall experience when buying or selling a home.
