About Dan
Real estate is in my blood. My grandfather owned an apartment building in Santa Monica where I lived with my entire family as a child. My father and mother were real estate brokers. My father for nearly 30 years as the head new homes and subdivisions for The Jon Douglas Company. He impressed upon me the importance of hard work and working on one deal, one client at a time. I graduated from UCLA, and formerly worked as a photojournalist for the Associated Press and as an freelance photographer with notable clients Sony Pictures, IMAX, Match.com, SAG-AFTRA, The Television Academy, Twentieth Century Fox, Warner Bros., Nestle, The Wallis and Paramount Pictures. In 2013 I began my real estate career with the director of commercial real estate for a major brokerage, Eric Sackler. Through his mentorship, I've developed a pragmatic, analytical approach that I now apply to client negotiations, which I consider an art form.
I'm known for connecting deeply and building trust with my clients, leading to relationships that span years and lifetimes and I bring my photographers eye to homes in preparation of bringing them to market for sale.
I reside in Woodland Hills with my son Bodhi and daughter Marigold and can be found walking and hiking on the many trails of the Santa Monica mountains or at Tomato Pie grabbing a slice for lunch or a whole pie for family dinner.
