About Christian
After a long career in television news Christian earned his Delaware real estate license in January of 2023, and joined The Oldfather Group / Compass Real Estate.
Christian graduated from the University of Richmond in 1995 and began working at a television station in Richmond as a news producer. That was followed by stops in Greensboro and then Boston, where Christian earned a Master's in Broadcast Journalism from Boston University. He moved "on air" at a television station in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in 2003.
And then in 2006 Christian and his wife moved to Baltimore. He worked as a reporter for WMAR-TV until 2016 when Christian was named the anchor of the station's morning newscast, Good Morning Maryland. In 2018, readers of the Baltimore Sun named Christian Baltimore's Best TV Anchor / Reporter.
Many of the skills he learned in television news have translated into real estate. Christian's motivation to help people has generated strong relationships with his clients. News colleagues often noted Christian's attention to detail, and that has translated into his work with real estate contracts and with the systems and procedures used by Compass and The Oldfather Group.
Christian's wife is from Sweden, and she always speaks Swedish with their daughter. But unfortunately, Christians svenska är inte så bra (Christian's Swedish isn't too good)
Christian's sleep schedule has improved immensely since leaving television news, but that has done nothing to help his golf game. He is active in the community, and coaches a machine-pitch baseball team with the Lewes Little League. You're likely to see Christian in or around the Compass RE office in downtown Lewes, or on the Herring Point beach at Cape Henlopen State Park. Stop by and say hello!
