"Built on a history of respect for his professional and personal ethics, Chris Clarke and I forged a relationship in the high-end vintage car/race car business over the course of many years. Talking with Chris regularly, I also knew he was a Realtor. When it became time to sell my family’s home in Marin County, choosing Chris to be my Realtor was a no brainer.
Like a prized automobile, my home was old and unique and very special to me. Not only was it important to get the right net from the sale of my house, it was equally important to me to find the perfect buyers to purchase it and to carry on its legacy in the Picnic Valley area in San Rafael.
Chris, and his Realtor wife Sallyann, are Marin natives and knew the area. They knew how to price and market the house. They were always available and checked in regularly to offer help or discuss the best course of action related to getting the house prepared for market. They were very in tune to my desire to find the right buyers to become the next keepers and lovers of my old home.
At the end of the day, choosing the right person to represent you, someone you can trust with one of the most important sales or purchases in your life, will make this milestone event smoother and probably more fun, too. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Chris and Sallyann. Not only are they knowledgeable, but they are caring, genuine and fun to work with. They don’t sell houses, they sell homes."

"We met Chris through a referral from a good friend. Our situation was complicated: selling an old home that had been in the family for many years after a dear relative passed away. We brought Chris and his team in several months before we even listed the house with them, as Covid lockdowns were just beginning and we all had no idea how long remodeling would take, let alone the court's probate timeline! They gave us a lot of information about the market, vetted some of our ideas about the property and never pressured us, even when we had numerous delays in getting it to market.
Chris offered us practical advice in various aspects of the selling process; he possessed a thorough knowledge of the local area and its relative value to other areas, and generally had a positive, upbeat and "move forward" mentality that buoyed us through some tough decisions and challenges. He has a wide range of experience and is a sympathetic listener. He is always appropriate, but also genuine, which we appreciated immensely. We would work with him again anytime!
Sallyann worked with our listing team on the sale of our relative's home, after our relative had passed away. The home had been in the family for many generations and held a trove of heirlooms (and some junk!) and needed some remodeling and clean up. Aside from the shock of losing someone dear, the prospect of dealing with the house and all the stuff, the COVID lockdowns and uncertainty that presented, we just saw the negatives of our "historic" home. Sallyann came in as the marketing specialist and it was so refreshing to see the house and surrounding property from her perspective! She was interested in our family's story, the antiques and the setting of the house - her genuine appreciation and sense of wonder at the view, the history and the family lore reminded us how unique our property was.Her patience with us as we proofed and edited descriptions for the listing seemed bottomless and she made so many good suggestions that affirmed the special qualities we were trying to highlight for buyers. Sallyann is full of ideas and energy and is both genuine and likeable - we really enjoyed working with her and plan to do so again in the future."
