About Chris
Chris Dombey was born in Phoenix, Arizona, but it wasn’t until his family moved to Steamboat Springs when he was 10 years old that he truly felt at home. As an active and adventurous
child, Steamboat was the perfect stomping grounds and the Yampa Valley helped foster his love for the outdoors. He spent countless hours chasing elk with his bow, fishing, skiing for the
Winter Sports Club, mountain biking, and playing football for the local high school.
Chris pursued football after high school and earned a spot on the Menlo College Football team in California before a shoulder injury cut his collegiate career short. Chris moved back to Denver where he finished his degree at Metropolitan State University of Denver.
After graduating, Chris found himself back in Phoenix, where he began his pursuit to become a real estate agent. He got his license and started working for Keller Williams in Scottsdale. After a few years in Phoenix, Chris’ childhood friend at Axis West Property Management in Steamboat was looking for an Association Manager and Chris knew his mix of customer service and real estate would make him a perfect fit. This was his opportunity to escape the Arizona heat and make his way home.
In 2023 he was presented with the opportunity to join the Cheryl Foote Team at Compass Steamboat and get back into real estate full-time, so Chris made the leap and is looking forward to what’s to come.
Chris is a true champion of the Yampa Valley and his knowledge of Steamboat and all it has to offer is evident to his clients. He is excited to share his love for his hometown and help clients make Steamboat their home, find the perfect vacation property, or discover their forever home.
