You have likely seen Charlie demonstrating his real estate prowess on TV, the pages of your newspaper and magazines, or on the streets as a mentor and encourager. He has been featured on HGTV’s Selling New York, New York’s WABC and WNBC Evening News, as well as The New York Times, New York Post, Wall Street Journal and Essence Magazine. In 2016, Charlie launched the “Love the Way You Live” brand to further expand the reach of his mission to change the landscape of people’s lives beyond real estate. Charlie broke barriers and made lasting impressions for big brands as an executive for Digitas, the global digital marketing agency, and Founder/CEO of Mindshock, a strategy + branding agency.

Charlie is actively engaged in his community and philanthropic endeavors, earning recognition as an Honoree at the 2020 Ones to Watch Awards.  Currently serves as the Chair of the Upper Manhattan for the Real Estate Board of NY (REBNY). Charlie is a valued member of the TCIAC Committee for Howard University where he plays a crucial role in selecting Board of Trustee nominees.  His commitment extends to the Executive Committee for HUAA.  Additionally, Charlie serves as a board member of Mental Health First Connects board.

His leadership spans various roles; including his tenure as the Past President of Howard University Alumni Association (HUAA),  overseeing a community of 86,000 alumni.  Further, Charlie has also contributed as the Region Chair of the NE Region and served as the President of the Howard University Alumni Club of Greater NY.

Beyond his professional and alumni commitments, Charlie has dedicated his time as a former board member of the Ronald K. Brown- Evidence Dance Company and Brooklyn Community Services.  Academically, he holds a BBA degree in Finance from Howard University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.  Additionally, his extensive travels to over 66 countries and 6 continents have enriched his understanding of world affairs and human nature.

Stately townhouse in a gated-off NYC historic district seeks $3.375M

Even among Harlem’s most stately properties, this yellow brick and limestone townhouse stands out as one of an inimitable group of homes that compose a lesser-known Manhattan sub-neighborhood.

Currently on the market for $3.375 million, the five-story townhouse at 215 W. 138th St. belongs to a historic stretch of properties on two gated-off streets officially known as the St. Nicholas Historic District, but more often referred to as Strivers’ Row. And on it, according to Zillow, there are two other homes now for sale and two others for rent — meaning it’s a prime time to grab a home in a low-key corner within the big city grid.
