Charlie Castro
Charlie has over 20 years of real estate experience encompassing many facets of the business, including sales and marketing, development and construction, and financial and market analysis. His interest in real estate started in college as an intern working for a large commercial real estate developer. Upon graduation, he worked as a financial analyst with the same company, securing both debt and equity financing for large commercial real estate development projects.
Realizing an interest in real estate beyond number crunching, while at the same time fostering his entrepreneurial spirit, he formed a real estate and economic consulting firm that provided advisory services to residential developers throughout the Bay Area. As the principal of his firm for nearly a decade, he was responsible for the management and execution of over 300 real estate consulting assignments that led to the development of over 1,000 new and rehabilitated housing units in San Francisco and thousands more throughout the Bay Area.
As a San Francisco resident for over 15 years, he is very familiar with the political and economic climates that impact real estate trends and values - both on a local neighborhood and citywide level. Along with being a top producing real estate agent, he has developed nearly $30 million in new condominiums throughout San Francisco. His development experience has provided him with practical knowledge in construction, interior design, city permitting, and building codes. In 2013, he was in the top 10 percent of all San Francisco real estate agents with sales of over $25 million.
Above all his technical experience, Charlie's primary passion is to provide his clients with an unparalleled level of service. His objective is to protect the financial and emotional interests of his clients to the very best of his ability. Whether his clients are buyers or sellers, the foremost importance of any real estate transaction is integrity, and he prides himself on this belief.
When Charlie isn't working with his clients, his outside interests include playing soccer, bicycle riding, reading, and traveling. Fluent in Spanish, he lived briefly in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and has also been involved in numerous volunteer building projects for disadvantaged families throughout Central and South America.
“Charlie has a unique real estate skill set that was an enormous help to me, given the complexity of my home purchase. He went well beyond what most agents are capable of and even created a financial model from scratch, which enabled me to fully understand the details of my transaction. I was really impressed with his design/construction, finance, and negotiation experience and skills. His 20 years of real estate experience will definitely help any buyer or seller of real estate.” - Esteban S.
