About Carol
By its very nature, a real estate transaction is a complex tactical, managerial and emotional process requiring a calm, determined and experienced guide. Carol brings forward that steady leadership with heart and soul, dedicated to paying attention to her clients’ needs first; providing local market insights, perspective on a variety of potential issues, knowledge of the various players, honed negotiation skills and consistent communication. Carol is native Northern Californian and 35+ year resident of the Wine Country. In 1998, as Healdsburg was beginning to sparkle, Carol dove into real estate, joining a Healdsburg based boutique brokerage specializing in vineyard and winery properties. Twenty four years on, Carol is aligned with Compass, contributing her depth of understanding of country property and experience in all types of residential real estate, combined with the highest level of client care.

As a first home buyer, I couldn’t be more pleased to have Carol Lexa as my REALTOR®. She was incredibly thoughtful, organized, informative, and action-oriented. With her help we put an offer on a house and closed within a month. We received just the right amount of guidance from her, starting from the research phase and through the inspections, final negotiations and closing. We worked with her through the Compass app by selecting homes we were interested in. She planned two days of open house viewings and added additional homes that we weren’t aware of. The range of homes she showed us gave us a solid understanding of the current market and helped us quickly learn important lessons and sharpen our search as we zeroed in on our location and priority criteria.

Carol showed us a home that had just come on the market. We saw it before the open house and it ended up being our favorite. From that moment on things moved very quickly and Carol was our coach through the whole process. She matched our fast pace and was so on top of the details. 

It was ultimately key to the success of our offer that she is tech savvy and a clear communicator. This enabled us to move quickly and send the right messages to the seller, ahead of other offers. During the work week in between meetings we could use email and text to make quick decisions with her. This was all done in December, close to the holidays and Carol was super efficient in scheduling inspections and gave us tons of referrals for the services we needed estimates on. Throughout the negotiations she educated us about the process and acted as our advisor. We were highly impressed by her competence and her ever calm demeanor, even as we faced challenges related to closing escrow during the busy holiday season.
