She holds degrees in Business Management and Computer Science, which provided her a good foundation for life as an entrepreneur. She continues her education today by studying market trends on macro and micro levels, staying in front of industry technology, and keeping up-to-date on legal issues that may affect her clients.

Carmen leads an active and healthy lifestyle. She loves the great outdoors. She enjoys vacationing in the Hawaiian Islands and traveling to the UK to visit with family. But when at home, she finds great joy in the simple pleasures of preparing nutritious gourmet meals for friends and family, and walking her Frenchie and cocker spaniel around Redwood Shores and at Fort Funston.

Giving back to the community that provides her so much, Carmen supports individuals, families and veterans who struggle with self-sufficiency and homelessness by donating a percentage of her commission to LifeMoves – a San Mateo/Santa Clara County nonprofit committed to ending the cycle of homelessness.
