Carla Labianca is a Real Estate Salesperson with Compass Northern New Jersey and is a highly experienced and successful representative of home Buyers and Sellers in New York City’s bedroom communities.
Prior to practicing Real Estate, Carla spent two decades building a career as an award-winning digital marketing executive for some of the world’s best-known brands, such as HBO®, American Express®, and Old Navy®. She was the Senior Producer on the Game of Thrones Interactive Viewer’s Guide and the Director of Production for HBO GO & HBO NOW.
What Carla brings to the table as a Real Estate Salesperson is unique in that she has extensive business acumen with a focus on marketing and project management – skills that translate seamlessly to the world of Real Estate.
After a decade in NYC and Brooklyn, Carla is now considered a longtime resident of SOMa – 12 years and counting! She and her husband, Gary, and their three children are at home here.
From their center-hall colonial in South Orange to their current grand old Victorian known as the “Mayor of Maplewood,” she has managed numerous large-scale construction, decorating, and DIY projects. Each home she and her fmaily have lived in has had a style all its own that she riffed on – in part, to deeper her love of architectural tradition and style. Carla has an obsession with the homes around here. To her, their thoughtful craftmanship tells a unique social history of the way people lived.
Today we were restore and renovate these homes, careful to protect their historical integrity while ushering in new interior style and functionality that accommodates modern tastes. Carla truly enjoys the challenge of looking past imperfections to envision a home’s true potential.
Carla holds a BA from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA, and an MA from the Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Carla founded the home style blog Inhabit Your Home. In 2018, she and Lisa Danbrot co-founded the Resource Home Show.
