About Caren

Caren Kelley leads the Luxury & Equestrian Group at Compass, delighted to be recognized as the number one small team in San Diego by Real Trends/Wall Street Journal in 2022. With a focus on the sale of equestrian properties, luxury ranch and coastal homes and land, Caren’s career has included over $1.5 Billion worth of sales. She offers clients the benefit of a quiet confidence earned while concluding dozens of sales in the $10+ million range, including several sales over $25 million. The team enjoys excellent market momentum with $500,000,000 sold within the past six years and has enjoyed record setting sales in Rancho Santa Fe, Encinitas and North San Diego County.

Caren’s background includes over 10 years as a commercial broker during which she sold two downtown high rise office buildings and was awarded Deal Maker of the Year by the SDCCAR, followed by founding Equestrian Real Estate, which quickly became a market leader for equestrian property sales in Southern California.

Caren’s successes are the result of her personal values of commitment, work ethic and resourcefulness, shared by an equally committed team. Caren is a long-term resident of Del Mar and can be found walking her dog through the ocean neighborhoods in the early mornings. She and her husband, Craig Kelley, have two grown children who went through the Del Mar and SDUHSD schools. All the team members also have equestrian connections. Caren has ridden horses locally since childhood, at one time riding professionally. She now rides in Rancho Santa Fe with renowned jumper trainer Mandy Porter. When not working, Caren still competes in the amateur jumper divisions.
