Most recently the CEO and founder of a Boston-based tech start-up that achieved a $10 million valuation in a just a few years, Brian became a sought-after consultant and board member for various organizations. Throughout his career, Brian has built long-term relationships with his clients based on trust and respect. Prior to his business career, he was a teacher and school administrator who was recognized as the "Model District Leader for Baltimore City Public Schools” out of 14,000 employees, becoming 1 of 2 math teachers ever to be nominated, selected or given this distinction at the high school level. Brian's commitment to excellence is evident in the exceptional results achieved by his students, with many scoring in the top percentile in the state of Maryland with over a 95% pass rate on the state-wide High School Assessment. Immediately before Brian began teaching at his school, only 15.5% of the students passed this same state-wide test. Promoted to lead schools, he continued to radically progress student achievement across the district, leading the academic teaching and learning in 34 Baltimore City Public Schools. Brian was nominated and honored to serve on Maryland’s Common Core Implementation Committee and selected to join as a key member with the Chief Academic Officer on the UDLN and The Aspen Institute.
Brian is a graduate of Johns Hopkins with a Master’s of Science, where he maintained a 4.0 GPA, a post-baccalaureate of Harvard and holds a business degree from Babson College. His academic achievements demonstrate his dedication to his education and his commitment to personal and professional growth. He is enthusiastic, savvy and brings hold a broad list of connections throughout the country. At his core, Brian is a loving father to his 3-year-old daughter Eloise and a proud husband to his wife Dena, who is the lead Emergency Medicine Physician Associate of Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. The couple decided to purchase their home in Edgartown as they believe that Martha's Vineyard is the perfect place to raise their daughter. Eloise was born on the island, making it even more special to the family.
