About Brad
• 35+ years of commercial banking experience in major southwest US markets.
• 20+ years of management experience in a commercial banking environment.
• Extensive lending experience with local, regional and national home builders.
• Excellent business development, negotiation, credit/budget analysis and presentation skills.
Brad began his career with a large Houston bank soon after graduating from the University of Houston in the late 70s. He experienced the boom and bust of the Texas economy in the 1980s, learning valuable lessons in the lending and underwriting of real estate projects.
In the late 80s he relocated to the West, underwriting real estate projects in Las Vegas and Phoenix, and Southern California. Brad has extensive experience in all financial aspects of commercial/residential real estate development, construction and permanent financing.
Brad is also an experienced manager, supervising a staff of loan officers, closers and processors for several major banks and has managed large real estate portfolios with institutions, as well as the NCUA. As an independent consultant, Brad has advised the FDIC, banks and their attorneys on financial matters including forensic consulting and expert witness testimony.
Brad and his wife, Elise relocated back to Texas from San Diego in 2011. In his spare time, Brad enjoys sailing, beachcombing on Galveston Island, nature photography and walking his West Highland Terrier, Jack Jack.
