About Bernie
     My wife, Susan, and I moved to Cape Cod in December of 1977.  At that time, we had two children; we now have 8 children and 12 grandchildren.  I came here to work as a school counselor in October 1977 and I worked in the Barnstable public school system until 1988.   I started working in real estate part-time in 1979.  I was a partner in a real estate firm from 1985 - 1988 and I ran my own company from 1988 until 2017 when my company merged with a larger company.  In the summer of 2021, that company became part of Compass Real Estate.  Being part of Compass Real Estate has afforded me access to the highest level of technology available in the real estate industry.  It allows me to use multiple marketing and social media platforms that provide the most up to the date tools to maximize my ability to work successfully with both sellers and buyers.  I enjoy working with sellers and buyers in all price ranges.   The first property I sold closed for $19,000; in 2022, I sold a property for $18,500,000.  The real estate business has changed a lot over the years.  However, my work as a real estate broker has not changed.   My role as your real estate broker is to assist you as a seller or buyer in working through what is almost always the largest single purchase you will make.  I try to make this experience as simple and stress free as possible. 
     Although I am based in Centerville, I have sold property all over the Cape in the past 45 years.  I look forward to having the opportunity to work with you.
