About Arline
Arline Klatte knows San Francisco. Born and raised in SF, she graduated from UC Berkeley with a bachelor’s degree in art history. A master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University followed, and after working for various publications in New York City and a two-year stint in Russia with the Moscow Times, she returned home to San Francisco and worked as an editor for SF Gate and later as commentary editor for CBS MarketWatch.
Her career locally with the San Francisco Bay Guardian and later, SF Gate, gave her a deep understanding of San Francisco's inner workings as well as contacts with media all over town. She also produces the popular monthly storytelling series "Porch Light" -- now in its 18th season.
Her contacts with local media and her expertise in writing make Arline a marketing master. She knows that listing a property is part marketing, part showmanship, and she knows how to put on a great show. Her listings regularly sell over the asking price, not because she underprices, but because her attention to detail in the preparation, marketing, showing, and negotiating of her listings garner fantastic results for her clients.
