About April
The Alvarado Group Website
As a realtor in the Madison area since 2011, I treat my clients like family and I’m passionate about achieving the best outcomes for them. I thoroughly enjoy helping clients determine options to prepare their properties for sale to successfully meet their goals. I have fun shopping with my buyers and helping them realize their dreams! A home is so much more than just a static structure. It’s a safe place, a place to build memories, and a place to make your own. It’s amazing seeing the potential in properties and helping clients visualize how it can fit their needs. The lasting relationships built are rewarding and meaningful to me.
In addition to great relationships with clients, I also believe in the importance of having positive working relationships and an excellent reputation with my colleagues (other Real Estate Agents in our area.) It definitely contributes to powerful and strategic negotiation skills and my MLS stats reflect this. Client satisfaction can be measured in referrals and testimonials, for which I am grateful! I’m proud to say my clients have described me as patient, thorough, knowledgeable, helpful, accommodating, meticulous, ethical, genuine, trustworthy, professional, and a skilled negotiator. Check out some of my past client testimonials towards the bottom of this page.
My interest in homes and remodeling began as a young helper on projects with my parents. One of my favorite TV shows, from as young as I can remember, is This Old House. I have gone through the construction process of building a new home and have learned priceless knowledge through completing my own remodeling projects such as wall removal, installing drywall, trim work, tile, doors, and hardwood flooring. I am intrigued by green building techniques, and have had geothermal heating, radiant floor heating, and extra insulation installed in my own homes.
Aside from my Real Estate experience, I am a lifetime Madisonian who attended Madison public schools and UW-Madison earning a degree in Horticulture where my interests include organic farming, residential landscaping, and ornamental home gardening. Prior to my career in Real Estate, I worked in residential landscaping. Not surprisingly, this knowledge comes in handy when evaluating the exterior of properties as well as the interior. Before landscaping, I worked my way through college in the restaurant industry and value hard work, efficiency, and timely communication.
For hobbies & activities, I enjoy volleyball, boating & wake sports, snowboarding, biking, kayaking, cross-country skiing, gardening, cooking, and home improvement projects. I especially enjoy spending time with my family, our dogs, and also with the many wonderful dogs and fellow volunteers at the Dane County Humane Society where I have volunteered since 2006.
