About Amy
For Amy, setting the right expectations is key to a successful transaction. Working with a spectrum of Austin-area clients from first-time homebuyers to discerning clients in the luxury market, Amy is a savvy advocate for her clients. Whether you are looking for a creative approach to win in a multiple-offer situation, advice that is grounded in data, or staging and pricing expertise to sell your property quickly, she enjoys tackling each client's unique challenges. She considers every client a friend, and she strives to serve them on a personal level.
Amy's career began in marketing and sales. Roles in technology firms serving the oil and gas industry set the stage for a career built on keen attention to detail. Her deftness at managing large, corporate client relationships and negotiating multi-million dollar contracts transfers perfectly to her real estate career.
After living in several Houston neighborhoods and looking at properties from a first-time buyer's perspective, Amy developed an interest in real estate and building a business of her own. She quickly became licensed and joined a top brokerage firm, Greenwood King. In her first real estate transaction, Amy represented herself—a crash course in understanding the needs and questions that might arise for first-time buyers and negotiating repairs and price concessions successfully. An extensive renovation project to position her home for future resale gave her valuable experience working with contractors, from vetting to the finished product.
She grew up in Dayton, Ohio, but Amy has a long family history in Austin. Amy and her husband always wanted to live in Austin for its unique vibe, incredible outdoor lifestyle, and proximity to extended family. She has lived in Texas since 2012. When she's not working, Amy loves getting to know the city, taking advantage of the hiking and biking trails, being out on the lake, and exploring the Hill Country. She lives in Circle C Ranch with her husband and two beagles, Lucy and Pearl.
In 2020, Amy moved to Compass to work alongside Chris King. She values Compass's unique breadth of services that she can put to work for her clients to give them a competitive edge in Austin's dynamic market. Technology, marketing reach, and the community of agents foster a forward-thinking approach that helps Amy deliver for her clients. She is excited to collaborate with clients at all levels of the market, helping take the overwhelm out of what can be a stressful process. She works tirelessly to develop relationships with buyers and sellers over multiple transactions. The reward is getting to see her clients' lives evolve and grow through these milestones.
